About The Creator

As a child, I loved drawing and creating worlds of characters like those we see on television today. If I wasn't outside playing, you could find me at home sketching or painting.

Although I always knew that art was my life's passion, I didn't continuously pursue it as my career. I graduated from Winston-Salem State University (WSSU), a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), with a degree in Computer Graphics. I was ecstatic to pursue my career in Graphic Design but, before I could begin, I made an important decision that changed the course of my life for the next 15 plus years. I joined the Army.

 

During my time in the Army, I did not consistently create art. However, my loving wife knew I wasn't fulfilling my creative side and encouraged me daily to get back into creating art. Finally, I listened to her. So, in 2017, while deployed in Iraq, I wrote a 350-page graphic novel called WarPigs. Writing and drawing helped me maintain and manage the stress of being in a combat zone, and I soon began to rely on my artwork to help me cope. Today, I am excited to announce that WarPigs Issue #1 was brought and successfully funded on Kickstarter!
